The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP - Rwanda) is announcing the following vacancy:

Organizational Context
Gender equality is a human right, good governance, democracy, sustainable development and inclusiveness principle as enshrined in the fundamental principles of the Constitution (Article 10) of the Republic of Rwanda adopted in 2003 and revised in 2015 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically goal 5. As such, the public sector, private sector, non-governmental and religious institutions are responsible for mainstreaming gender in their policies, plans and processes to ensure inclusive and transformative development.

Job Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in International Development, Gender studies, economics, sustainable development, social sciences, or other related field.
• Specialized professional training in project management is an asset
• At least 5 years’ experience in development project implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting and capacity building of partners. Having managed UN projects is an added advantage;
• Proven experience working with the National Gender Machinery institutions and the private sector or other institutions promoting gender equality and empowerment of women;
• Proven professional experience with track record on gender equality and women empowerment;
• Evidence/proof of past experience in executing similar assignments within a multi stakeholder’s framework;
• Sound knowledge on national, regional and global gender equality frameworks;
• Proven competencies in research and facilitation skills, as well as ability to multi-task, deliver on time, and work with limited supervision;
• Proven excellent communication and writing skills in English and Kinyarwanda. Knowledge of French is an added advantage;
• Knowledge of the gender equality seal certification initiative will be an added advantage.
• Fluent (both verbal and written) in English and Kinyarwanda and working knowledge of French.
