EXPRESSION OF INTEREST NUMBER: PROC/02/2022

1. INTRODUCTION.

The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide, delivering food assistance in emergencies, and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience. Each year, WFP assists some 80 million people in around 80 countries.

WFP, with offices in Kigali, Rwanda, is updating its supplier's roster and hereby invites expression of interest (EOI) from prospective suppliers and service providers.

WFP will establish a roster of suppliers and service providers who meet the criteria set out at point number 3. Each time a specific tender is to be concluded; WFP will invite all shortlisted vendors on the roster of the relevant food categories to submit a tender. Inclusion on the roster of WFP Vendors does not mean that a company shall be invited in all tenders and does not constitute any contractual relationship between the company and WFP; it only means that if included in the database, a company will be given equal consideration in the process of supplier selection.

3. CRITERIA FOR INCLUSION ON (One or More) OF CATEGORIES OF FOOD.

The interested company should forward their expression of interest (EOI) to WFP by electronic mail (E-mail) as indicated below. To be deemed eligible for the pre-qualification process, companies are required to submit all the below listed documents within the EOI not later on the below-mentioned date, these documents shall be the criteria for inclusion and exclusion from the vendor list.

1. A cover letter introducing the prospective suppliers/service provider and a brief business profile,
2. Certificate of Registration/Incorporation, Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association, (RDB Certificate)
3. VAT Registration Certificate,
4. Letters of recommendation from at least three reputable public or United Nations institutions /organizations/agencies,
5. Company's audited financial statements for the last the past three years.

Expressions of interest must be clearly marked:

"Expression of Interest N° PROC/02/2022.

And should be sent to the following email along with supporting documents: rwa.procurement@wfp.org  no later than 09 December 2022 at 10:00 AM Rwandan Time. No expression of interest will be received entertained after the closing date and time. Those already in the WFP supplier's roster aren't required to make a new interest.

This exercise may include an interview with the applicant, inspection of applicants' office premises, facilities, and any other items of interest to WFP.

Women entrepreneurs are highly encouraged to respond.
