Short-Term Contract: Geology And Mineral Exploration Services
Piran Rwanda Limited (“Piran”) is a mining company focused on the production and exploration of Tin, Tantalum, and Lithium in Rwanda and is looking for a short-term consultancy contractor specialized in Geology and Mineral Exploration Services. The task is likely to take a month to complete and may be extended as needs to complete dictate.
Key deliverables:
• Concept Development and Li Potential review for the Ntunga Li-Sn-Ta Project.
• Develop a proper understanding of the Geological formation of the Ntunga Site
• Provide a detailed report covering all scientific and researched data to guide the mining team.

Requirements:
Interested contractors or service providers shall have to meet the following criteria:
• The contractor must be qualified with a strong background in geological and mining consultancy at the national and international levels, mainly in Lithium exploration,
• The contractor must have at least 10 years of experience in Resource Estimation in compliance with JORC Standards
• The contractor must be registered in a professional body recognized by JORC Standards
• The contractor must have proof of a better understanding of the Geology of Rwanda
• The contractor must have advanced Knowledge of a range of sciences and their applications
• Ability to work independently and comfortably with incomplete information and deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

Title: Short documentary video and photographs on the success stories under the Rwanda INC Project

Program Description:
Inorder to showcase success stories of the Rwanda INC Project, TechnoServe is seeking a communication entity to assist the project by developing media material. The overall objective of this consultancy is to produce media material including a short video and high resolution photographs that can be used in various communication platforms. This will involve travelling to remote locations in the project’s geographical scope, to collect the necessary material.
Methodology:
Consultant selected for this assignment will perform the following indicative tasks:
• Develop the video concept and scenario to be discussed with the Rwanda INC team
• Present a workplan for the assigned work
• Travel to the project’s geographical scope to collect the media material
• Perform appropriate short interviews with the project’s partners, beneficiaries and stakeholders
• Work on the desired products of this consultancy, including a video and high resolution photographs.

Deliverables/ Expected outputs:
The consultant will produce one short video and produce a database with at least forty-five (45) high resolution photographs.

One short video in HD
1. Video shooting and editing
2. Narration, translation and subtitles in English/ Kinyarwanda where necessary
3. One fully-produced clip of approximately 5 minutes in length in 1080 (HD) resolution aimed at sharing with national audience as well as an international audience.
The video must highlight the purpose and goal of the Rwanda INC Project as well as showcase success stories and lessons learnt related to the coffee sector in Rwanda.

High resolution photographs
At least 45 high quality and high resolution, edited and captioned photographs delivered in a CD
Report
A detailed report on all photography and filming locations (GPS points), including names and contact details of all individuals photographed or that will appear in the video. The report must contain at least 5 powerful statements by farmers and other stakeholders to be used in reports and fact sheets.

TechnoServe reserves the right to award the contract to the company whose ToR is deemed to be in the best interest of and most advantageous to TNS and the Donor.
TechnoServe will not award a contract to any bidder where there is indication of a lack of business integrity.
The company with the winning ToR will be notified in writing. Those who were not selected may or may not be notified, at the sole discretion of TNS.

Terms And Conditions

1. The Request for ToR is not and shall not be considered an offer by TechnoServe.
2. All responses must be received on or before the date and time indicated below. All late responses will be rejected.
3. All unresponsive responses will be rejected.
4. All ToR will be considered binding offers. Prices proposed must be valid for entire period provided by respondent or required by the ToR.
5. All awards will be subject to TNS contractual terms and conditions and contingent on the availability of donor funding.
6. TNS reserves the right to accept or reject any ToR or cancel the solicitation process at any time, and shall have no liability to the proposing organizations submitting ToR for such rejection or cancellation of the request for ToR.
7. TNS reserves the right to accept all or part of the ToR when award is provided.
8. All information provided by TNS in this ToR is offered in good faith. Individual items are subject to change at any time, and all bidders will be provided with notification of any changes. TNS is not responsible or liable for any use of the information submitted by bidders or for any claims asserted therefrom.
9. TNS reserves the right to require any bidder to enter into a non-disclosure agreement.
10. The bidders are solely obligated to pay for any costs, of any kind whatsoever, which may be incurred by bidder or any third parties, in connection with the response. All responses and supporting documentation shall become the property of TNS, subject to claims of confidentiality in respect of the response and supporting documentation, which have been clearly marked confidential by the bidder.
11. Bidders are required to identify and disclose any actual or potential Conflict of Interest.

Form/Content Of Response
All ToR shall:
1. Be in the English language.
2. Contain detailed cost in Rwandan Francs-RWF, with applicable Tax/Charges clearly identified.
3. Provide requested payment terms and conditions.
4. Describe the qualifications, experience and capabilities of the company/firm in providing the type of services being request by this ToR.
5. Include a contact name, email address, and telephone number to facilitate communication between TNS and the submitting company/firm.
6. A brief outline of the organization and services offered, including:
• Full legal name, jurisdiction of incorporation and address of the company
• Full legal name and country of citizenry of company’s President and / or Chief Executive Officer, and all other officers and senior managers of the company/firm
• Year business was established
