Position Title: Internal & External Communications Manager
We are looking for a qualified, dedicated & experienced individual to fill the position of Internal & External Communications Manager located in Kigali, Rwanda reporting to the Corporate Affairs & Communications Manager.

Job Purpose:
• Develop and implement an Annual Communication plan in order to reinforce company values
• Maintain connection with Bralirwa and employees to ensure a high level of employees’motivation and an equally high-level performance and commitment
• Understand the role, diversity, acceptance, and power of news media in society and their own goals and audiences in order to create new content and generate positive coverage
• Manage Corporate Brand image by building relevant content that the company communicate externally

Tasks & Responsibilities:
Employee Engagement
• Implement the internal company strategy, together with other departments in order to drive employees’ engagement
• Offer full support and advice on internal communication matters to other departments (HR, Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales etc.)
• Coordinate and support actively internal events (New year, QUM, Family Day, Genocide Commemoration, Official visits, other occasional events, Special drinks, etc.)
• Support change management and manage all communication channels
• Establish and develop quarterly Newsletters
• Implement the employee engagement programs: i.e. Cool @ Work, alcohol policy, Business conduct, support the community, drive ambassadorship initiatives, etc.
• Choose the right media, messenger, tone of voice and delivery and develop relevant tools
• Responsible for developing and monitoring internal communication platforms, including writing/editing articles for workplace news and evaluating the channels on a regular basis as required.
• Read and analyze submissions or letters and provide relevant feedback after aligning with the Head of Corporate Affairs and Communication Manager.

Media Management
• Build relationships with the media. Create and drive a proactive and transparent media plan
• Ensure and coordinate the preparation of activities in connection with the company’s external communication (Press conferences, Press releases, etc.)
• Provide a press review on sensitive issues for Management and General Management
• Work closely with the Agency managing the Corporate Media accounts in answering all complaints posted on different channels
• Play the advisory role to Marketing on Media by reviewing all press releases and other editions that are meant to be published with Media
• Track and evaluate all press coverage
• Ensure that the business is prepared for a crisis in terms of procedures and awareness. Lead communication, mobilize business and advise management during a crisis

Brand PR
• Develop and execute Brand PR strategies and plan, in conjunction with commercial management, to maximise and enhance brand strategy through non-paid media. Build a network in key lifestyle and news media
• Create and embed a clear PR strategy that builds equity and relevance for brands.
• Create PR assets such as imagery, footage, quotes, facts & figures to include them in Brand PR strategies and plans
• Translate data into a compelling story

Qualification And Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies, Public Relations or related studies
• At least 3-5 years experience in the Communication profession in corporate companies
• Fluent in English, French and Kinyarwanda (written and spoken)

Job Purpose:
The Finance Officer is responsible for the preparation and monitoring the project budget, financial reporting, manage financial systems, manage and review program payroll, check compliance with organizational and donors rules and regulations; supervise the work of accountants.

Major Responsibilities

• Provide financial oversight, including the maintenance and monitoring of the project budget, tracking the project expenditures and projections;
• In consultation with senior management team prepare the Program’s annual budget,
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports as may be required by various donors within the stipulated deadlines;
• Prepare quarterly financial reports and present them to the senior managers;
• Manage financial systems, files, and maintain the accounting system of the Sugira Muryango program;
• Manage and review the payroll and accountabilities from field activities in accordance with the organization’s finance and accounting policies and procedures and donor’s rules and regulations;
• Verify whether all the support documents are accurate, complete and have followed the laid down procedures;
• Check compliance with procurement procedures;
• Ensure compliance with donors’ requirements;
• Review monthly bank reconciliation statements;
• Provide technical support to district offices to ensure smooth financial management of field offices and program activities;
• Train and Supervise the work of accountant and other program staff;
• Participate in meetings and other events organized by donors and other stakeholders related to finance;
• Prepare the annual financial statements for audit and manage project audits and provide the required information during the audit;
• Provide oversight over human resource management, payroll management and administration;

About the job
We are seeking a Finance Officer to join our team in Rwanda. As Finance Officer, you will be responsible for implementing all financial management processes and procedures of Kvinna till Kvinna in Rwanda in line with applicable law, Kvinna till Kvinna mandate,policies and procedures, and international standards. In addition to accounting and financial management for the office in Rwanda, the Finance Officer will work closely with Partner Organisations to assess budgets and financial reports, oversee audits, and follow-up, and provide capacity building in financial management and anti-corruption.
You will report to the Senior Finance Officer, and indirectly to the Head of Office for Rwanda and will carry out your work in cooperation and coordination with the Rwanda team, Partner Organisations and stakeholders throughout the country as well as relevant staff at the Kvinna till Kvinna Head Office in Sweden.

Specific areas of responsibility
Financial Management
• Maintain proper books of accounts;
• Prepare internal financial reports and financial declarations required by the government of Rwanda for approval and submission by Senior Finance Officer and Head of Office;
• Carry out payments and entry into the online financial system according to approved policies and procedures;
• Support Senior Finance Officer to regularly update and monitor the annual budget and inform the Head of Office and other relevant colleagues, on the status of the office finances;
• Ensure internal control system is followed, including making sure the anti-corruption policy is implemented internally and externally;
• Submit reports in respect of management and statutory audits;

Grants Management & Partner Organisation Support

Work closely with Senior Finance officer to:
• Review application budgets from partners for compliance with Kvinna till Kvinna policies, procedures and contractual engagements.
• Assess partners’ financial reports and audited financial statements to ensure compliance with Kvinna till Kvinna policies, procedures and contractual engagements;
• Follow up on issues raised by auditors to ensure resolution in cooperation with colleagues;
• Conduct spot checks of partner organisations in accordance with monitoring plans.
• Verify financial reports and action plans by Partner Organisations which are submitted to Rwanda Governance Board bi-annually.
• Provide capacity development support to partner organisations on financial management, anti-corruption and fraud.

Anti-Fraud & corruption
• With Senior Finance Officer, ensure Kvinna till Kvinna’s anti-corruption policy is implemented both internally and externally;
• Support investigations according to the Terms of Reference and roles and responsibilities defined by the HQ Anti-corruption Advisor.

About you
To apply for this position, you need to have at least:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration and must hold a professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA or any other accounting professional qualification).
• At least 5 years of experience working or consulting with national non-governmental organisations in a financial capacity.
• Demonstratable experience in advising non-governmental organisations on financial management systems and practices.
• Demonstratable experience in training and capacity building in financial management.
• Demonstrable experience producing, analysing and managing data using Microsoft office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
