Q-Sourcing Rwanda Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client SOLA (School of Leadership) operating in the education industry, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced IT Assistant.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Provides help-desk support to staff and students with clarity and responsiveness.
• Provides assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, electronic mail, operating systems, and business applications.
• Supports students and faculty with audiovisual configurations as required.
• Installs and manages computer hardware, software, operating systems, and applications, including both Windows and Mac OS-based platforms using mobile management systems.
• Ensures the installation, maintenance, and repairs of printers, projectors, and other IT-related devices.
• Ensures that the audiovisual equipment is maintained in good condition and is serviced appropriately.
• Secures and protects IT systems using both security and content moderation tools.
• Assists IT manager in monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure including on-premise and cloud-based security, wireless, and access infrastructure.
• Troubleshoots system and network section problems, as well as hardware and software issues.
• Creates and maintains procedural documentation and prepares relevant reports for the IT manager.
• Responds in a timely way to call-outs for addressing and resolving immediate problems.
• Tests and evaluates new technologies and implements them in collaboration with the IT Manager.
• Effectively updates the inventory management system.
• Performs any other related duties as assigned by the IT Manager. Requirements
• Relevant bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
• English Language Proficiency.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the IT field; experience in a school environment is helpful but not necessary.
• Effective written and oral communication with the ability to produce reports and present solutions
• Professional knowledge of network and system technologies, both Windows and macOS operating systems and management tools.
• Ability to work independently to solve problems
• Ability to perform root cause analysis, and identify and isolate technical issues.
• Strong knowledge of basic networking concepts. (CCNA level or equivalent)
• Knowledge of network cabling and management according to BICSI standards.
• Enjoys working in a school environment and brings strong communication skills, flexibility, collaboration skills, and good humor.

The Embassy of the United States of America in Kigali is recruiting for Information Management Assistant position. The position is open to All Interested Candidates/All Sources and available to start immediately.
Duties: Working under the supervision of Information Systems Manager (FSN-10) and Information Systems Officer (ISO), incumbent assists in the daily operations of the Information Systems Center (ISC). S/he ensures that all OpenNet servers and computers are in compliance with Diplomatic Security standards. The incumbent is responsible for, but not limited to, managing the operations of the LAN to ensure safe, secure and reliable connectivity throughout each point in the network. Sets up, maintains, upgrades and makes back-ups of all embassy servers, including installing patches, maintaining current anti-virus definition files, and Windows and application upgrades.
Selection Criteria
• Master's degree in a related field and at least 8–12 years of relevant experience. Related fields of education include business, finance, or economics or an area of expertise specific to a sector, subject matter, or industry specialty. Relevant experience could include a proven track record in business consulting or investment banking, or operational experience in the sector or technical or professional field.
• Capacity to understand, enable, and participate in market creation opportunities for multiple countries by demonstrating long-term perspective, open-mindedness, persistence, innovation, and ability to leverage all available tools (including de-risking tools); good understanding of the roles and value-add of IFC and WBG in new markets.
• Has a reputation for listening carefully to clients and stakeholders and asking targeted questions to understand their needs and determine the viability of a business opportunity.
• Ability to build long-term engagement with clients and credibility by demonstrating knowledge of their business, sector, and culture, and maintain an ongoing dialogue on their business needs, operations, and strategies as well as opportunities for strategically aligned business deals.
• Ability to supervise staff by providing technical guidance and delegating work to build and effectively use talents of staff and balance workloads.
• Ability to guide, advise, mentor, and coach junior staff and peers to develop and broaden their scope of skills, including providing on-the-job learning opportunities. Critical for FCS and other challenging markets.
• Demonstrated in-depth understanding of and ability to apply project management and M&E concepts, including theory of change. Able to translate project objectives into output and outcome indicators to monitor performance and measure success.
• Able to effectively monitor the work of consultants to ensure appropriate methodologies and techniques are used and progress remains within budget and set time frames. Is able to determine when additional expertise or resources are needed and when to intervene to resolve problems.
