JOB DETAILS:
Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supplies smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms vastly more productive. We provide quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural trainings to improve harvests. We measure our success by our ability to make farmers more prosperous: On average, farmers harvest 50 percent more food after working with One Acre Fund. We are growing quickly. We currently serve more than 800,000 farm families in Eastern and Southern Africa, with more than 7,500 full-time staff, and we aim to serve 1 million farm families by 2020. Field Operations' research and innovation constantly seeks to understand current challenges and identify future opportunities within current processes. The Impact and Research Supervisors (IRSs) are a team whose work is: • Field research: The IRSs dedicate 3 days per week on field research work and mostly conduct high-quality field research. Their research work comprises of 2 parts: (a) collecting field data, and (b) Data entering, recording and sharing with their leaders. • Monitoring quality Impact training: The IR dedicate 2 days per week on Impact training work. They mostly support training at TUBURA district level and monitor training’s execution with aim to increase the quality of impact training in the districts of their respective regions. .

  Job Responsibilities:
The Impact and Research Supervisors (IRS) will carry out (but not limited to) the following responsibilities:
Field research:
• Prepare and conduct field research in sites/districts in your region as per research plan, using various research methods such as focus group, semi structured interviews, participatory designing depending on the objective of every research.
• Entering data from the field research in a clear and easy-to-understand format and timely sharing them.
Impact training:
• Ensure the optimization of the impact training
• Managing the training materials at the regional level by ensuring that the district trainers have prepared all training materials by the time of training
• Attending Tuesday training to ensure their smooth running.
• Monitoring the execution of impact activities in the field by assessing relevant KPIs, analyzing them and suggesting strategies to improve performance.
• Attending regional meetings to learn & share relevant field experiences and challenges faced.

  Job Qualifications:
• Deep understanding of field research
• Can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and expand research skills
• Relevant work experience in a Field Operations-focused role preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Kinyarwanda and English.
• Fluency with computer skills: Mostly with Excel/Word and Google Sheets/Google Docs.
• Ability to manage remote working relationships and working with different field teams.
• Commitment to be based in Rubengera/Karongi district (west region) & Giheke (S/W region), with work travels within the region.
• Proactive collaborator and out-of-the-box thinker
• Integrity, positive attitude, and friendly demeanor.
• Passionate about serving smallholder farmers.
