JOB DETAILS:
For the newly to be established Local Foundation, (hereinafter referred to as Foundation), we are looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager to drive the Foundation marketing and communication strategy with the responsibility for managing its execution in consultation with local ministries, public or private organization when involved in the process, and last but not least to interact with the HQ Marketing & Communication team to coordinate the local activities in an integrated scenario of global marketing and communication .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop brand recognition in a program to communicate to Rwanda’s Public and Private Institutions (i.e. Ministry of Health and Education), Partners and Citizenships, the mission of the Foundation and which is ultimately designed to be recognizable at a local and regional level.
• Collaborate with key partners across the Country in planning and creating communications for external audiences that drive the mission of Foundation, key messages to the population to create awareness on eye care health, promote local partnerships, support convenings, and that educate, cultivate, and inspire philanthropic support.
• Oversee the execution of the communications for internal and external audiences; plan on the timing of communications to ensure well-timed messages.
• Translate concepts into persuasive communications.
• The Manager will also review and approve messaging and communications written by others before they are published.
• Join social media groups and professional platforms to discuss the Foundation’s related topics and monitor the corporate website and social media pages and address readers’ queries.
• Oversee all internal and external communications for the Foundation ensuring consistent messaging.
• Measure and track results for marketing campaigns.
• Gather community feedback to inform projects members
• Prepares and approves media reports, press releases, articles, etc. • Provides a strategic vision for Foundation-wide messaging, supervises the activities of coordinators and fellows under the office.
• Responsible for all written communication writes and distributes the monthly or quarterly Foundation newsletter, writes articles and news releases to the local and international press

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Proven 4+ years’ experience in a senior marketing or communications role.
• Proven track record of performing above expectations in improving a company’s brand presence
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, e.g. Business administration, Social Sciences, etc
• Master in Strategic Communication or public relations
• Commitment to global health and social justice
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Hands-on experience with web content management tools, like WordPress and familiarity with communication campaigns on social media
• Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office tools (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Google Analytics.
• Business-fluent English and French
