JOB DETAILS:

BRALIRWA is looking for a qualified, dedicated & experienced individual to fill the position of IT Maintenance & Support Officer located in Rubavu (Gisenyi), reporting to the IT Infrastructure & Security Manager .

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure connectivity to local networks of all IT equipment to allow access to shared resources
• Fix and repair the data sockets
• Fix the various cable trays (data & electrical)
• Maintain network equipment (physical level)
Know and respect the basic physical principles of computer network
• Install and maintain UPS and their protections
• Pull and maintain corrugated electrical cables from strong current networks
• Plan and organize the maintenance program for inverters
• Repair and maintain inverters
Participate in IT Services Support (Level 2 support)
• Troubleshoot and resolve end-user hardware, operating system and software related problems
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic network and server access problems for end users
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WAN, LAN, firewall, VPN systems, etc
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with voice communications (mobile devices)
• Collaborate with our external service providers
Maintain and Repair electronic hardware and accessories
• Repair any electronic IT equipment kept by IT
• Follow up inventory of all network and UPS equipment

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Electrical Engineering or any other related field
• Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience
• Fluent in English & French (both verbally and in writing), and Kinyarwanda will be an added advantage
• Expertise in Electricity & Electronics is a requirement
• Knowledge of IT Support will be an added advantage
• Planning and attention to detail are a requirement
• Well-developed team work skills
