JOB DETAILS:

The User Engagement Specialist (UES) is a member of our Project Delivery Team under the Rwanda Integrated Health Systems Activity (RIHSA) project funded by the U.S Agency for International Development (USAID). RIHSA works i) to reduce the financial barriers to healthcare in Rwanda through a mix of public and private interventions and ii) to improve the quality of essential health services at national, facility, and community levels utilizing a health systems approach.

With responsibilities ranging from client-relations to data analysis, and everything in between, you’ll have the opportunity to work with every team at Zenysis while building the skills to lead increasingly large parts of our long term user engagement operations and strategy in Rwanda.

Responsbilities:
• Own and manage the analytical capacity building process within Rwanda Ministry of Health, Rwanda Biomedical Centre and their partners.
• Lead and conduct user engagement activities such as dashboard development, data analytics, trainings, one-on-one desk sessions and in the development of training plans with the project team.
• Work closely with users on the ground to understand their needs with compassion, define technical requirements, and provide product support and trainings.
• Identify current and potential use cases to drive impact and usage and potential opportunities for the expansion of our deployments.
• Gather user and stakeholder needs and feedback and communicate them proactively to our product and engineering teams.
• Identify the levers for impact, new training strategies, hypotheses and iterations as it takes to drive them forward.
• Prepare and deliver capacity building sessions that range from one-on-one in-depth tutorials to multi-day trainings for entire teams
• Collaborate with project team to identify user needs and scope data sources and use cases.
• Participate in coordination meetings with core and extended partners to identify synergies
• Support the Project team in the implementation and adherence to the project M&E plan and actively monitor progress toward M&E goals
• Support the team in development and implementation of Zenysis and project-specific standard operating procedures, policies, recordkeeping, and other duties as required for overall operations of the project.

Qualifications:
• You are based in Kigali, Rwanda.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in business, public administration, management, public health, computer science/IT or related field.
• Experience in data analytics, data quality, communications or data visualization and data use.
• Able to synthesize information and present clear and concise conclusions and recommendations for decision making.
• Knowledge and familiarity with USAID regulations, including monitoring and evaluation policy and guidance.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and sustain interpersonal and professional relationships with USAID Mission, Government of Rwanda, implementing partners, and local NGOs is an added advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously.
• Problem solving aptitude when working with users and developing products and across projects and team deliverables.
• Experience employing a data centered skill set that involves training users on data analytics.
• You have strived to understand the underlying patterns with R, Excel, SQL, Python or similar tools.
• You’ve worked on projects synthesizing hard analytical insight with holistic understanding of a complex problem space.
• You enjoy working with clients and have a customer-centric attitude.
