Background
CARE is an international non-governmental organization leading in humanitarian work and fighting global poverty. CARE Rwanda is intending to secure a contractor to provide maintenance services for CARE Rwanda Office.
The contract will be awarded to the bidder that meets all minimum requirements and clearly demonstrates a high degree of experience, ability, and competency in maintenance services.
Objectives
The objective of this contract is to obtain the services from a reputed, experienced, and qualified contractor who can provide efficient repair and maintenance services to Care Rwanda leased property as set below in the scope of work.

1. Plumbing (bathroom, kitchen)
2. Minor repair (Office furniture’s, Wood work, Door, celling)
3. Electricity (Perform preventive maintenance of generator, replacement of the office lightning, Air conditioning maintenance and repair)
Qualification And Experience Of The Service Provider • Experience in electricity and plumbing
• Minimum of 3-5 years doing similar services
• Professional Certification in Electricity or plumbing and generator maintenance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Kinyarwanda or French or English)
Time Frame
The contract shall provide the services on the following priority basis:
• Urgent -100% of all reported faults, which have safety and security implication to be dealt within two hours of notification.
• Essential -100% of other minor faults to be fixed within two working days.
• Desirable - To respond to all requests for advice and assistance on non-urgent cases within three working days.
Payment modality
• Labor cost payment will be based on a monthly flat rate agreed upon by both parties
• CARE Rwanda will be responsible to purchase spare part if required
Submission ProcedureInterested vendors should submit their proposals by email to
rwa.procurement@care.org by July 28th, 2022, at 5pm, Rwanda time. The application should indicate the following:
• Company description (History, Experience, location)
• List of employees (position, experience and their academic papers)
• List of equipment and materials used for the plumber, electricity and generator maintenance
• Certificates of completion of similar services (minimum 3) from credible organizations and firms
• List of key customers: INGOs, embassies, public and private
• RDB registration certificate
• VAT registration certificate
• Valid Clearance certificate from Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA)
• Valid Clearance certificate from Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB)
• Monthly fee
