We envision an African continent forever free of extreme poverty.
Since 1987, we’ve been working to end extreme poverty in rural Africa through the power of entrepreneurship. Community-based and locally led, our poverty graduation program equips the most vulnerable women, refugees, and youth with the skills and resources to start climate-smart businesses and savings groups, ultimately breaking the cycle of extreme poverty. Our program not only builds self-reliance and financial inclusion, but it also strengthens gender equity, improves physical and mental well-being, promotes conservation efforts, cultivates resilience to climate change and other global shocks, and ensures a brighter future for generations to come.
MINALOC, in collaboration with Village Enterprise, would like to recruit a technology vendor to develop a Management Information System (MIS) capable of tracking the holistic aspects of poverty graduation in Rwanda. The MIS must allow users to measure and track how poverty graduation is implemented in Rwanda. As soon as households with the capacity to graduate are identified against defined criteria and specifically targeted, the MIS must allow timely and quality data collection about graduation participants throughout the graduation cycle. It must respond to and be tailored to target graduation-participating households' constantly changing dynamics and realities. The graduation MIS must accommodate the coordinated inputs of several ministries, agencies, and stakeholders through a multi-sectoral approach to tackling poverty in Rwanda. All the graduation stakeholders must collectively adhere to specific deliverables to support poverty graduation efforts and their respective timelines. The MIS must integrate the implementation data from all the stakeholders, be a decision support tool for timely and tailored poverty graduation interventions and offer comprehensive insights to ensure that graduation gains are protected by supporting households at risk of falling below the poverty line. Attached is the TOR for More reference.
