JOB DETAILS:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Surveyor to join our team. The Surveyor will be responsible for conducting land surveys and preparing reports for various construction, engineering, and mapping projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for accuracy.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct land surveys using various surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and levels.
2. Analyze survey data, including measurements and calculations, to create accurate maps, drawings, and reports.
3. Interpret legal documents, such as deeds and plats, to determine property boundaries and rights of way.
4. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to provide survey support and ensure project accuracy.
5. Prepare survey reports, including descriptions of survey methods, findings, and recommendations.
6. Maintain survey equipment in good working condition and calibrate as necessary.
7. Adhere to safety standards and protocols while conducting surveys in the field.
8. Keep abreast of advancements in surveying technology and techniques.
9. Assist with other tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in surveying, civil engineering, or related field.
2. Professional Surveyor license (PS) or ability to obtain licensure within [specify timeframe].
3. Proven experience for 5 years as a Surveyor, preferably in a construction or engineering environment.
4. Proficiency with surveying software and equipment.
5. Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
9. Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Advanced knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
2. Familiarity with AutoCAD or other drafting software.
3. Experience with cadastral surveys and legal descriptions.
4. OSHA certification for construction safety.
