We are looking for a creative social media and communication intern to work in our sales, marketing, and HR department. The social media intern is responsible for planning social media calendars, creating social media posts, and assisting the social media team with brainstorming campaigns, to boost brand engagement and increase visibility.
To be successful within this role, you must have excellent knowledge of various social media platforms. A good social media intern combines creative campaign ideas with analytical skills to create successful posts.
What you will do and not limited to:• Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media websites
• Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
• Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets
• Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
• Support marketing team at live and online events
• Manage the social media calendar.
• Brainstorm campaign ideas.
• Post on various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Analyse analytics to gauge the success of campaigns.
The requirements for the role:• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or any related;
• Prior experience of at least a year within Public Relations, Communications, Digital Marketing or Social Media Management within a busy environment.
• Excellent knowledge of social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram...) platforms.
• Knowledge of analytical tools.
• Creative mindset.
• Ability to multitask and work in a team.
• Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda, French is a plus.
