Rwanda Polytechnic has signed a financial agreement with Agence Française de Développement (AFD), for the implementation of a pilot project in the district of Rulindo. Expertise France (EF), the French Agency for international technical expertise, has been tasked to support the implementation of the project during the first 3 years.

To support to support the piloting of dual apprenticeship in Rulindo, AFTER Project would like to recruit a national training plan facilitator expert to assist IPRC Tumba to develop the training plan for the implementation of dual apprenticeship in Mechatronics.

The assignment will start from April to June 2023, and the exact dates for each deliverable will be defined in collaboration with Rulindo district, TVET Providers and Expertise France.

Tasks
Review the existing curriculum and identify

  1. Organize and co-lead workshop for dual apprenticeship training plan and chronogram development
  2. Develop and finalize the training plan and chronograms for the identified trades or department, including clarifications on training requirements, assessment criteria, certification process and benefits for stakeholders
  3. Deliver training on the implementation of the designed dual apprenticeship
  4. Compile related reports

Required experience

  1. At least 8 years of working experience mainly in Education and training materials development
  2. At least a Bachelor’s degree
  3. At least 4 years’ experience in training materials development or curriculum development
  4. Proven experience in the adaptation of training materials to dual apprenticeship or dual trained is required
  5. Experience in Workplace Learning and employment promotion
  6. Experience in mentoring and coaching
  7. Experience in facilitating and leading trainings and workshops
  8. Understanding of dual apprenticeship approach

  1. Training organization and delivery
  2. Business and entrepreneurship skills
  3. Facilitation and coaching skills
  4. Mentorship and coaching skills
  5. Communication skills
  6. Excellent command of English (written and oral)
