In its Strategies, Youth for Christ/Rwanda reaches the youth through Education and thus started and owns KIGALI CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS (KIGALI and RWAMAGANA CAMPUSES).
It is against this background that Youth for Christ/Rwanda wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following position:

Job Profile
Job Title: Schools Superintendent
Supervisor(s): YFC National Director
Job Summary: The Schools Superintendent works at the direction of the YFC National Director and oversees the fiscal, educational, and operational areas of the Kigali Christian Schools to ensure that all parts of the school's program are efficiently and effectively serving our clients and staff. .
Requirements:
• Follower of Jesus Christ and actively involved in a local church;
• Self-disciplined and teachable;
• Passion for education and a commitment to serving children.
• Experience in managing and leading high performing teams, schools, or non-education organizations including strategic development and operations.
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial drive with a proven track record.
• Advanced University degree in Education, the management or related area;
• Proficient in English and Kinyarwanda. Knowledge of French would be an added advantage

• Excellent business skills including financial management, personnel administration, supplier relations, and regulatory compliance.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Accept leadership accountability for continuous improvement and implementation of the mission, vision, goals, values, and policies of YFC/Rwanda and KCS.
• Represent and communicate on behalf of KCS at local and national government agencies and partners.
• Maintain a visible and accessible presence to the schools’ families and the local communities.
• Ensure legal and ethical integrity in the school.
• Manage, evaluate, provide leadership to, and inspire the campuses leadership teams, including the campus principals and directors.
• Stay current on best practices in education, instructional programs, and school operations.
• Execute all decisions approved by the YFC Rwanda board in relation to KCS.
• To model spiritual and servant leadership to staff and students;
• To promote the gospel of grace through our Lord Jesus Christ;
Communication:
• Provide responsive and anticipatory communication with transparency, trust, and integrity understanding that this is an institution funded by the taxpayers and thus all corporate employees are “public servants” in the best meaning of the term.
• Provide the YFC Rwanda National Director with regular updates of the schools’ activities regarding curriculum implementation and financial matters.
• Provide timely communication out to the staff, PTA, and government agencies.
Strategic Planning:
• Work with the YFC Rwanda National Director and YFC Christian Education Committee, campuses and schools management, and staff to create, refine, and implement a strategic plan that develops a stable, sustainable institution for the success of KCS and its stakeholders.
• Attend all YFC Rwanda leadership team meetings.
• Provide guidance to the YFC Rwanda leadership team and assist in decision-making.
Human Resources:
• Collaborate with the Leadership Team to strategize, develop, and implement plans for staff development, staff participation in decision making, and establishing career paths within KCS.
• Oversee the development and execution of consistent and fair personnel policies and procedures, including grievance procedures.
• Work with the YFC Rwanda National Director for the recruitment of the campus principals and directors.
• Oversee staff recruiting, training, and the development of hiring practices.
• Oversee and develop evaluation protocols for all KCS staff.
• Directly manage and evaluate the Campus Principals.
Operations and Finance:
• Oversee all corporate operations including budgeting, accounting, human resources, contract management, and compliance.
• Work with the YFC Rwanda National Director and YFC Rwanda Christian Education Committee to set economic objectives, financial and accounting policies.
• Implement the KCS Policy and Procedure Manual, and recommend updates, as necessary.
• Manage facility acquisition, maintenance, and renovation efforts.
• Provide financial reports to the YFC Rwanda National Director, and other agencies, as required.
• Provide direction for maintaining and seeking new funding sources for KCS.
Academic:
• Make student-centered decisions that ensure an equitable education for all KCS students.
• In conjunction with the campus principals, promote the success of all students and support the efforts of the YFC Rwanda Board to keep KCS focused on learning and achievement.
• Develop academic goals and performance benchmarks.
• Execute sound performance management of campus principals and other leaders to ensure student achievement gains are being realized.
• Ensure that academics, school culture and climate, community engagement, and external partnerships are positive, effective, and tightly aligned to the institution’s mission and goals.
Relationship Management:
• Maintain a positive image of KCS.
• Build a strong, positive relationship between the institution and its employees, school families, and the broader community.
• Lead funding and development efforts.
