JOB DETAILS:
Gatão is a premium Portuguese wine in a can, bringing elegance, style, and sophistication to modern consumers. Already a favorite in other markets, we are now launching in Kigali, Rwanda, with the goal of making Gatão the go-to wine for stylish and trendy women.
We are looking for a Sales & Marketing Coordinator to help drive sales, brand awareness, and retail expansion, ensuring that Gatão becomes a staple in Kigali’s lounges, bars, supermarkets, and high-end retail spaces.
Role Overview
This is a dual role combining sales and marketing responsibilities, requiring a well-connected, ambitious, and results-driven individual. You will work closely with the Managing Director and be responsible for both expanding Gatão’s distribution network and executing brand activations.
You must be comfortable negotiating with business owners, securing sales deals, and leading influencer campaigns, events, and digital marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Distribution (50%)
• Secure listings in bars, lounges, restaurants, supermarkets, and retail stores.
• Build and maintain relationships with bar owners, club managers, and supermarket buyers.
• Negotiate promotions and strategic placements to maximize visibility and sales.
• Ensure stock availability, correct pricing, and merchandising in all retail locations.
• Track and report sales performance and propose strategies to improve volume.
Marketing & Brand Activation (50%)
• Manage influencer collaborations and ensure Gatão is featured by key social media personalities.
• Oversee social media campaigns and digital engagement strategies.
• Organize tastings, events, and brand activations in premium venues.
• Work with event organizers, DJs, and lifestyle promoters to integrate Gatão into key Kigali nightlife & social events.
• Partner with salons, spas, and boutiques to position Gatão in high-end lifestyle settings.
Reporting & Strategy
• Track weekly sales & marketing progress and adjust execution plans.
• Provide market insights and identify new business opportunities.
• Ensure that Gatão is growing both in visibility and sales volume across Kigali.
Who We’re Looking For
• 3-5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development, preferably in FMCG, beverage, or hospitality industries.
• Strong network in Kigali’s hospitality, retail, and nightlife scene.
• Confident, well-presented, and comfortable negotiating with high-end clients and business owners.
• Proven track record of securing sales deals and executing brand activations.
• Social media savvy – understands influencer marketing, branding, and consumer engagement.
• Highly motivated, results-driven, and proactive – capable of working independently while delivering strong results.
What We Offer
• Base Salary: Rwf 600,000 - 800,000 per month.
• Commission on sales (2%) + performance bonuses for hitting sales targets.
