About the Young Professionals Program
One Acre Fund’s Young Professionals Program offers high-performing African graduates meaningful internships and training opportunities at a high-performing, mission-driven organization. Our internships are paid and all interns can expect to receive substantive work assignments working on high-impact projects that support One Acre Fund's operations.
When joining, interns will participate in an onboarding program and receive training on how to design and execute projects. About the Role
As the Communications Intern, you will support content production systems and processes, ensuring accurate and on-time reporting externally to stakeholders and internally to staff, through standard communications channels (MonMon, Quarterly reports, Twitter). You will also help improve the availability of ready-to-use content through content archiving and promote inclusion in our communications by offering translation and interpretation services on demand.
Responsibilities
• Organize content collection meetings/calls with Business Unit/Team leads, as well as interviews with farmers and select org stakeholders
• Draft content for Twitter, the MonMon and the quarterly reports following outlines developed by the Communications Specialist
• Build a consistent content and photo archiving system, and create a content bank accessible by staff on demand.
• Provide support in translating key impactful program documents as assigned by the Communications Specialist.
• Translate the Bi-monthly Monitor
• Join selected field visits to interpret for farmers, staff or visitors from English to Kinyarwanda and vice-versa, upon request from the Communications Specialist
• Support the communications research work for data-driven decisions

• Interns will be provided with a reasonable stipend for the duration of their contract. Rural area-based fellows will be assisted in locating suitable housing.
