TITLE OF THE TENDER: RECRUITMENT OF A CONSULTANCY FIRM FOR A STUDY OF DESILTING IN NYABARONGO HPP DAM AND INSPECTION OF TUNNELS AND PENSTOCK.

CLIENT AND SOURCE OF FUND: ENERGY UTILITY CORPORATION LIMITED

1. Energy Utility Corporation Limited (EUCL) now invites proposals from eligible Consultancy Firms for submitting their best proposals for the following LOTS:

LOT I: A study of desilting in Nyabarongo HPP dam

LOT II: Inspection of tunnels and penstock at Nyabarongo HPP,

2. Bidding will be conducted through International Competitive Bidding (ICB) in accordance with the Procurement Procedures Manual of REG/EUCL.

3. The Request for Proposals may be obtained by interested consultants for any working days from 24/11/2023, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at EUCL-REG Headquarters, 1st Floor, Room N° G114, in the Secretariat Office of the Procurement Management of EUCL, PO Box 5634 Kigali, procurement-eucl@ eucl.reg.rw; upon presentation of proof of payment of a non-refundable amount of Ten Thousand Rwandan Francs (10,000 Frw). This payment shall be made to Account 2001161020000121 opened at NCBA Bank. 4. A mandatory site visit to Nyabarongo HPP is scheduled to take place on 07/12/2023 at 11:00 am. 5. Proposals must be delivered to the address below before or not later than 10:00am local time on 29/12/2023. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected and returned unopened. 6. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid security of three million Rwandan Francs (Frw 3, 000, 000) for LOT 1 and two millions four hundred Rwandan francs (Frw 2, 400, 000) for LOT II issued by a reputable bank or any other financial institution with the validity period of One Hundred Fifty (150) days from the opening date of bids.

7. Proposals will be opened in a public session and in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend in person in the conference room at EUCL Headquarter Offices at 10:30 am local time on the same day.

8. Well printed proposals, properly bound and presented in three copies, one of which is the original must reach the Secretariat of the Procurement Management at the address mentioned below not later than 29/12/2023 at 10:00 am. Late bids will be rejected and returned unopened.

9. The proposals will remain valid for 120 days starting from the deadline of bids submission.
