RECRUITING GOOD AGRICULTURAL PRACTICE SPECIALIST TO SUPPORT EJO HEZA COOPERATIVE MEMBERS IN GAP CAPACITY BUILDING IN KIREHE DISTRICT

African Evangelist Enterprise (AEE) Rwanda is implementing Agriculture Project-Building Capacities of the Ejo Heza Cooperative and its Member Farmers in Growing and Exporting African Bird's Eye and Teja Chilies for Improved Livelihoods with funding from BMZ under Grant agreement N^o 81302024.

The objective of the project is creating jobs and increasing chili farmers' incomes in Kirehe District, Eastern Province by addressing the following key challenges: low productivity, post-harvest losses, limited cooperative management capacities, and access to higher-value international markets. AEE Rwanda has planned to build the capacities of EJO HEZA cooperative and its member chili farmers for exports.

It is in this context that AEE-Rwanda is looking for potential and qualified companies/bidders to build the capacities of EJO HEZA cooperative and its member chili farmers in Good Agriculture Practice (GAP) to improve agriculture production and increase productivity.   

The work will include mobilizing and training more farmers to grow chili, enhancing their production in terms of quantity and quality, ensuring that post-harvest processing adheres to international food safety through adoption of Good Agriculture Practices.

The detailed Terms of Reference are found in the tender document which will be availed upon presentation of the payment slip of a non-refundable 10,000 RWF deposited on AEE-Rwanda account number 00040-00047325-22 RWF in Bank of Kigali. 

Well bound and sealed bids presented in two copies (original and copy) should be submitted to AEE-Rwanda Head Office at Gishushu (opposite Gasabo District Office) not later than March 21, 2024 at 11:00 am local time. Late bids will be rejected. Public bids opening session will be held at AEE-Rwanda Head Office the same day at 11:20 am.  

Bids must include Cover letter, Financial proposal and certificates of administrative documents (RDB certificate, VAT certificate, Tax Clearance), Academic Qualifications of Specialists/Technical staff in the domain, proof of EBM Usage, Performance letters/ Letters of successful completion from three recognized companies/Organizations.
