Public Relation and Communication Officer
The National Council of Nurses and Midwives (NCNM) is a regulatory body established by Law of Parliament № 25/2008 of 25/07/2008. Its principal function is to protect the public from any harm that may result from the practice of a nurse of a midwife, by setting standards of education and practice, as well as registering only those who are eligible and competent to practice.

The National Council of Nurses and Midwives (NCNM) is a regulatory body established by Law of Parliament № 25/2008 of 25/07/2008. Its principal function is to protect the public from any harm that may result from the practice of a nurse or midwife, by setting standards of education and practice, as well as registering only those who are eligible and competent to practice.
In order to effectively operate and fulfill its obligations, the NCNM is interested in employing dependable and competent candidates to fill the following positions: Responsibilities And Duties:
• Plan, develop and implement public relations strategies;
• Research, write, and distribute press releases to targeted media;
• Collate and analyze media coverage;
• Prepare and supervise the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films, and multimedia programmes;
• Devise and coordinate photo opportunities;
• Organize events including press conferences, open days, and press tours;
• Maintain and update information on the NCNM website in collaboration with ICT Officer;
• Manage the Public Relations aspect of a potential crisis situation;
• Disseminate and record news from NCNM activities;
• Improve the level of understanding of the population on institution missions and activities and maintain a good picture of it;
• 11.Organize all surveys or opinion polls on services offered by the institution;
• Ensure protocol of the institution if necessary;
• Publish and disseminate messages, speeches, and interviews of the NCNM;
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Media, Journalism, Public Relations, linguistics and literature, international relations;

Key Technical Skills & Knowledge
• Ability to understand and apply fundamental concepts and principles related to investigating facts, gathering, and packaging of information for effective delivery to audiences;
• Ability to develop and implement communications initiatives using appropriate tools and channels;
• Research and critical thinking skills;
• Report writing and presentation skills;
• Ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely;
• Verbal, non-verbal, and written and digital literacy skills;
• Creative thinking skills and solution-oriented attitude;
• Knowledge of online communication tools with special emphasis in audio-visual production and dissemination;
• Resource management skills;
• Analytical skills;
• Problem solving skills;
• Decision making skills;
• Time management skills;
• Risk management skills;
• Results oriented;
• Fluency in speaking and writing Kinyarwanda, English, and/or French. Fluency in all national languages is an added advantage.
