Profile of DUHAMIC-ADRI
DUHAMIC -ADRI is a Kinyarwanda acronym that stands for Duharanira Amajyambere y’Icyaro.

Translating to ‘’ we strive for the development of the rural community ‘’in English. It is a non-profit organization located in Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda, within the kicukiro district, Niboye sector.it was established in 1979 by a group of Rwandans who identified the crucial need for rural development in the country.

DUHAMIC-ADRI is a Non-Governmental Organization legally granted by Rwandan law and legally recognized by the Ministerial Order No. 943 of July 12, 1985. Its statutes were amended and accepted by the Ministerial OrderNo.025/11of21th March 2005. With the vision to have « A rural world responsible for its self-socio-economic development », DUHAMIC-ADRI has a mission of « Supporting integrated development through the initiatives of the rural population in their struggle for self-development». DUHAMIC-ADRI’s interventions reaches 27 districts of Rwanda as follow: Kicukiro, Nyarugenge, Burera, Gakenke, Gicumbi, Musanze, Rulindo in Northern Province; Gisagara; Huye; Kamonyi; Muhanga; Nyamagabe; Nyanza; Nyaruguru and Ruhango in South Province; Nyabihu; Nyamasheke; Rubavu; Rusizi and Rutsiro of Western Province and then Gatsibo; Kayonza; Kirehe; Ngoma; Nyagatare and Rwamagana of Eeastern Province.

Project background
DUHAMIC-ADRI in partnership with Care International Rwanda and its implementing partners are implementing the five years’ program Supporting and Enhancing Resilient and Viable Employment Opportunities (SERVE) Project. This program is funded by MasterCard Foundation through the partnership of Care International and will focus on to build a resilient, sustainable, gender equitable, and inclusive entrepreneurial environment that increases dignified and fulfilling work opportunities for predominantly female youth in agricultural value chains in 10 districts across Rwanda : Rulindo and Gakenke in in Northern Province; Kayonza, Rwamagana, Ngoma, and Kirehe in Eastern Province; Nyamagabe, and Huye in Southern Province; and Nyabihu and Rubavu in Western Province.

DUHAMIC-ADRI, through its SERVE project, aims to enable Farmers to access good agronomy practices and poultry development through FFBS platform that builds agricultural skills ,increase productivity and diversity in response to market needs and opportunities, all with sustainable climate-smart principles through four selected value chain including Chili, Tomato, poultry and fresh beans .In support of the poultry farming community, there is a need to provide demonstration kits comprising essential equipment such as feeders, drinkers, pumps, wheel borrow and disinfectants that will serve as didactic material to show others farmers what is needed and how it can be functioning and affordable thus they can also adopt the practice in their respective small farms.. These kits will also serve as practical tools for poultry farmers to improve their operations, enhance hygiene practices, and ultimately contribute to the growth and sustainability of the poultry industry.

Objectives
The primary objectives of this activity are as follows:

Provide poultry farmers with demonstration kits containing essential equipment that motivate learning through FFBS groups
Demonstrate best practices in poultry farming, including proper feeding, watering and hygiene.
Enhance the efficiency and productivity of poultry farming operations.
Promote sustainable practices and animal welfare standards among poultry farmers.

Scope of work
The supplier will:

Supply and deliver all the required equipment (Both quality and quantity)
Ensure that the distribution of the equipment is done by reaching at field level (Duhamic-Adri Office/ Stock in all ten districts including Nyamagabe, Huye, Rubavu, Nyabihu, Gakenke, Rulindo, Rwamagana, Kayonza, Ngoma and Kirehe)

Eligibility criteria
Eligible bidders should fulfil the following requirements:

Copy of trading certificate
Valid Tax clearance certificate
Proof of having electronic billing machine (EBM)
A commitment letter of supplying and delivering all items in 7 days after receiving the purchase order
A mandatory Visit of the sample items (Item 6 (Wheel barrow) and Item 8 (Spraying pumps) from Monday to Friday (May 20,2024 to May 23,2024) during working hours (08:00AM to 05:00PM)
Financial proposal (quotations) including all taxes and transport costs
Bids will be submitted in a sealed envelope and addressed to the Executive Secretary of DUHAMIC-ADRI at Kicukiro head office no later than Friday, May 24, 2024 at 10:00AM

The public opening of bids is scheduled on the same day at 10:30AM at the headquarters of DUHAMIC-ADRI.
