Molecular Virology Senior Officer
Level:4.II
Job description
• . Assign specific tasks to the biotechnologists in the Lab section
• Coordinate and implement routine and research lab activities
• Validate test results and implement Lab Quality Control programs
• Supervise and train lab personnel on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs)
• Take periodic inventory of reagent stocks and lab consumables for the Lab section
• Follow-up on scheduled equipment maintenance, service and repairs.
• Prepare and update SOPs of all DNA and RNA PCR Techniques used in Molecular Laboratory.
• Carry out any other related duties as may be assigned by the Head of Unit ( Meetings, Letter writing and workshops
• Together with Lab Network Unit participate in the installation of medical laboratory equipment at District hospitals and health centres all over the country.

Minimum Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Microbiology
0 Year of relevant experience
• Master of Science in Biotechnology
0 Year of relevant experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology
0 Year of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences
0 Year of relevant experience
• Master’s Degree in Immunology
0 Year of relevant experience
