A career within External Audit services, will provide you with the opportunity to provide a range of Assurance services and business advice to a variety of clients from small, fast growing clients to large entities. As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

Responsibilities
• Business development role through: -Active participation in industry groups with a focus to increase revenue -Individual pipeline ‘build-up’ on non-priority accounts -XLOS cross selling efforts on both new and existing engagements -Act as an account ‘driver’ on at least one priority account and for a high performing individual be an account ‘driver’ at the industry level. -Lead role in the crafting and project managing significant proposals
• To help drive the risk and quality agenda -.
• To manage the economics of the job by providing ‘smarter’ ways of executing engagement, challenging draft project at the time of planning, fortnight monitoring of costs, negotiating of aggressive billing.
• To develop technical solutions to client issues by keeping abreast with technical industry issues and technical pronouncement and interpreting the same for the client.
• To ensure engagements are performed to meet quality standards by overseeing the team’s activities to ensure effective and efficient audit strategy development, planning, execution and completion of assignments. The manager is also responsible for providing the team with timely review and follow-on the key judgmental areas.
• To develop deep relationships with senior management at clients and in addition develop networks at the industry level through regularly interaction on and off engagements and attendance of industry forums and at PwC thought leadership events.
• Individual effort in the development of thought leadership material on a regular basis to build own profile in the market and firm.
• To support key internal roles in aiding them meet their and firm objectives e.g. client feedback process, Finance (from billing to collection), HC (management of staff).
• To act as a career coach for the more experienced staff and provide them with career guidance on the alternatives available for them within and without the firm, this calls for a good appreciation of the firm’s strategy and also clout at the moderation meetings.
• To develop relationships with colleagues across departments in a bid to appreciate their service offering which is useful in providing linkages to clients and cross-selling. This is primarily achieved by strategically participating at firm-wide events e.g. annual budget event.

Preferred skills
• Bachelor’s degree in a field related business or accounts with over 5 years of experience in Audit.
• Holder of a professional qualification such as ACCA/CPA or any related professional certifications.
• They will have market presence, having a personal significant track record of delivering impactful results across a large network of clients.
• Ambitious and goal getter to achieve objectives and KPI’s set.
• An inspiring team leader, able to rapidly establish and lead high- performing, multi-disciplinary teams.
• A confident and impactful communicator, both written and verbal, able to clearly explain solution design to non-technical audiences, and technical design to technical audiences
• Excellent client handling skills with experience of leading external client.
• Strong change and people leadership skills, track record of successful change execution and an exemplary track record in providing client satisfaction
