JOB DETAILS:
Legal Metrology Officer
Level:5.II
Job description
• Drafting laws in compliance with national, regional and international legislation and agreements (OIML guide lines, WTO TBT and SPS agreements)
• Enforce activities related to weights and measures as per the law governing metrology in Rwanda and other applicable laws and regulations
• Ensure uniformity in implementing penalties as per the law governing metrology in Rwanda and related procedures
• Follow up the implementation of decision taken for non-complying measuring instruments or pre-packaged commodities under legal metrology control
• Provide legal advice on identified cases related to metrological controls and law enforcement
• Initiate and following up prosecution cases related to the law governing metrology in Rwanda
• Draft license contract and follow up its implementation
• Operate in compliance with organizational regulation and rules

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Law
0 Year of relevant experience
