JOB DETAILS:
The intern is expected to work closely with the evidence generation team (research and evaluation) to support in the knowledge management of evaluations and research of UNICEF supported programmes.
How can you make a difference?

Under the supervision of the research and evaluation specialist, the intern will undertake the following tasks:

• Provide substantive and technical servicing of meetings, backstopping, fact-finding, and other technical activities in support of the research and evaluation team.
• Undertake research and analysis of the findings and prepare briefing notes and reports on assigned subject areas of interest to UNICEF, Donors & Partners as identified.
• Assist in documenting and cataloguing information, drafting papers, memoranda and reports as required. Assist in updating EISI (Evidence Information Systems Integration).
• Assist in the organization of events (training events, workshops, seminars, conferences, missions etc.) and draft/edit reports of the same as may be required.
• Undertake day-to-day administrative tasks as required.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

• Enrolment at a university in Ethiopia at the undergraduate or graduate level or be a recent graduate (within the past two years) in social sciences is required.
• Knowledge of relevant computer systems and applications; excellent knowledge of MS Office is required.
• Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills.
• Willingness to contribute and work as part of a team.
• Flexible and open to learning and new experiences.
• Respect for diversity and adaptability to other cultures and working environments.
• Fluency in English is required.
