HR Management Consultants
Our Client, a large organization in the region is seeking to hire HR Manager/Head of Human Resource. The jobholder will be tasked to provide an interface between designated unit(s) and HR towards achieving designated objectives. He/she will also be required to partner with the Leadership and Group HR to ensure appropriate talent strategies deliver value and competitive advantage.
The role will be based in Kigali, Rwanda.
JOB PURPOSE And KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
• Manage the recruitment and selection process.
• Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.
• Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across designated units
• Nurture a positive working environment.
• Support the respective unit heads in the implementation of the performance management policy, ensuring the calendar is adhered to and quality standards are met.
• Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
• Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
• Participate in strategic review sessions for in-depth understanding of the designated units' needs
• Proactively generate insightful reports and analysis using people data in aiding decision making, triggering innovation and managing (or averting) potential people risks
• Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
• Own HR projects (or parts of projects) for the units supported or for HR itself and support the entire team in their implementation.
Requirements
• Min. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline.
• Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management or CHRP-K
• Valid HRM practicing license and IHRM Membership
• 8+ years’ experience in human resource and administration, with at least 3 years in a managerial level
• Experience in financial services industry is highly desirable.
• Fluency in French is MANDATORY (intermediate or fluent)
• Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
• In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
