Terms of Reference for a Gender-Based Violence (GBV) TrainerFH Association (Food for the Hungry) is a Christian international relief and development organization founded in 1971 with a mission of reducing human suffering and graduating communities from extreme poverty. The organization started operating in Rwanda in 1994 and is currently implementing projects in 6 districts of Rwanda: Ngororero, Gatsibo, Nyagatare, Muhanga, Ruhango, and Kamonyi, and recently expanded to Karongi District. Over the years, FH Rwanda has identified the need to support behavioral change interventions against Gender-based Violence and family conflicts which is key to promoting family harmony and social cohesion, a strategic objective that FH will be focusing on in the next five years.

Specific objectives:1. Conducting a GBV training needs assessment among staff
2. Based on identified needs, design a training program for FH field staff to facilitate behavior change against GBV; reporting and case management
3. Training 80 FH staff (split staff into 2 groups each 3 days) on GBV identification, response, and linkage to the comprehensive care of GBV/ case management
4. Design and develop GBV community-based training curriculum to be used by CG volunteers. The training curriculum should be in Kinyarwanda and supported with contextualized pictorial illustrations.
5. Liaison with the District and Sector leaders in charge of Gender and social affairs in each Area Program
Duration: The work should be completed in the month of June 2022 and should take a maximum of 25 working days
Qualifications: The lead consultant should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Gender and Development Studies (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in delivering GBV training in the development and humanitarian contexts, with experience in using collaborative learning and adult learning principles.
Application Procedure: All interested parties (consultancy firms or individuals) should collect a detailed Terms of Reference at no cost between 4th and 13th May 2022 from FH Association Office located at Umuyenzi plaza, 2nd floor, Kisimenti, Gasabo, Kigali between 8.00-5.00 pm weekdays.
Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope with the following documents: Registration Certificate, Tax compliance certificate, EBM certificate, Technical Proposal, financial proposal, CV of team members, the sample of related training report, 3 contracts of previous work done, and 3 completion certificates with telephone and emails of referees and a proposed work plan for the assignment to FH Association Office tender box by Monday, the 16th May 2022 at 10.00 am at Umuyenzi plaza, 2nd floor, Kisimenti, Gasabo, Kigali.
