Expression Of Interest - Local Implementing Partners (Lips)-Buranga ClusterWorld Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization whose purpose is to create lasting change in the lives of children, families, and communities living in poverty. World Vision is dedicated to working with the world’s most vulnerable children. In Rwanda, World Vision has been part of the country’s experience and journey since 1994 working through relief, rehabilitation, and development programs.
World Vision Rwanda/ Buranga Cluster is operating in Northern Province with five Area Programmes, two supported by World Vision US (Kivuruga and Nyarutovu APs) located in Gakenke district, while the other three are supported by World Vision Australia (Kageyo & Rutare APs) located in Gicumbi district and Kinihira AP located in Rulindo district. In FY 22, Buranga Cluster got more opportunities with additional funds from WV Canada. It is in this regard that there is a need to expand its interventions in Burera District with a new Area Programme.
Refer to World Vision’s approach to programming which aims to improve the well-being of children, especially the most vulnerable, this new area programme will be focusing its implementations in improving the living condition of most vulnerable children and their families and to enable families, local communities and partners to address the underlying causes of poverty in the community. This development approach is also based on good practices that have been learned from previous years. This approach requires engaging communities and establishing local partnerships, which helps to bring long-term sustainable change for the wellbeing of children and their families.

Partners’ engagement focuses on community entities include government, Local Churches and other faith-based organizations (FBOs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and community-based organizations (CBOs). With this, Transformed Field Environment (TFE) as a multidisciplinary process will be adopted to allow the continuum of change shift towards ensuring community led care and protection for the vulnerable children.
TFE process will ultimately focus on the field to radically simplify and improve systems, standards, roles and tools; this eventually enables front line staff to be more effective by reducing their workload as well as creating more time for them to contribute to the well-being of children and to the enriched experience of supporters.
