POSITION TITLE: Director of Information and Technology (IT)

Brief Job Description
HIGHSEC Ltd is currently looking for a skilled, experienced and qualified candidate for the position of IT Director and he/she will oversee the information technology strategy for the company, developing, implementing the policies and goals for the IT department..

  Duties/Responsibilities
The Director of IT will be responsible for the following tasks including but not limited to:
• Designing, Developing and updating Company Website
• Designing and developing HIGHSEC Database Management System
• Hardware and Software maintenance
• A configuration of LAN and Wireless Connection
• Preparing technical specification of security equipments
• Design computer and network-based security and/or communication solutions by integrating standard and non-standard security, IT, and communication components
• Must have knowledge in the installation of intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, IP, and Wireless, spy camera, time and attendance machine, walk through metal detector, X-ray luggage Scanner, firefighting and much more
• Oversee the installation and configuration of computer systems, calibration of field devices and installation of communication infrastructure
• Ensure all deliverables, equipment, support are delivered on schedule and are technologically correct, properly documented and supported and follow all company standards.
• Develop cost estimates including; design costs, material costs, and installation costs for procuring equipment and installation materials
• Schedule all project work, and manage this work against their appropriate dashboard and complete job status reports, expense reports, safety logs, and other documentation as required.
• Perform configuration and testing of system components to validate design concepts
• Coordinate the provision and use of tools and machines on site.
• Provide work leadership and guide technicians in executing work orders
• Monitor and supervise the work being done on site.
• Provide technical expertise during the execution of projects to ensure that the quality of services delivered is good.
• Interface with customers to make sure that their expectations are managed throughout the project life cycle.
• All other work that may be assigned to him by the Managing Director.

Qualifications required
• Bachelor’s degree holder in Information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related Field.
• Excellent Security equipments functioning Skills
• Proficient in Kinyarwanda and English
• Knowledge of French and having a driving license would be an added advantage
• Good Contract managerial Skills
• Excellent sales and marketing skills and customer orientation.
• Certificate for security systems like CCTV, cameras, time and attendance machines, Alarm System, Fire extinguishers, walk-through metal detector, X-ray luggage Scanner, etc.

Working Experience
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Information Technology(IT), with at least 2 years working experience in security equipment’s.
