Data quality specialist
The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, has commenced the in-country implementation of the Saving Lives and Livelihoods initiative in the Republic of Rwanda to accelerate COVID-19 vaccination across the country. Rwanda Biomedical Center RBC in collaboration with BUFMAR (Bureau des Formations médicales agréées du RWANDA), is committed to implement a project aiming to assess COVID-19 Vaccine Effectiveness, Vaccine Uptake Determinants, and Impact of Pandemic on Health Programs in Rwanda.
In view of the further development of its activities in frame of PROVE project, BUFMAR is currently seeking to recruit the following consultant who will work closely with the project Team:
Data Quality Position (1)
Post: Data quality specialist
Duty station: RBC
Duration of the work: Six months
The way of payment: upon deliverable report and invoice submission after each month.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Participate in design of data collection tool
• Participate in training of data collectors
• Make close follow-up of data collection
• Ensure quality of data collected
• Support data analysis.

Qualification and experience
• Rwanda Citizen
• Master’s Degree in Public Health, Master’s Degree in Global Health, Master’s Degree in Data science (Biostatistics) or Masters in other related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, public health with more than 3 years of experience in data analysis
• Research skills, Writing and Publishing
• Proven skills on Public Health Research Ethics
• Advanced knowledge in statistical analysis, sample size calculations, knowledge of health information systems.
• Mastery of statistical software packages (Stata, R, Python, etc.)
• Experience analyzing health-related data (preferable).
• Ability to train, coach, and mentor in statistical analysis
• Excellent knowledge of Kinyarwanda and English; Having basic French will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of translation and transcription.
