Job Purpose
The kitchen staff (cook) is responsible for the daily operation of the main kitchen (serving food to all
company's members and visitors) and dining hall under the supervision of the kitchen manager.
Key responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve food daily for all kids and employees, up to 750 people at full capacity.
• Be trained in preparing dishes according to menu set up by kitchen manager, including new
and changing courses.
• Clean the kitchen area after every meal, according to strict codes of hygiene and sanitation.
Integrate students into the daily chores in the kitchen.
• Host visitors who come to the village, including serving full meals as well as preparing snack
• and refreshment.
• Provide food for special occasions, festivities etc.
• Always Maintain the safety and security of the premises, in order to prevent danger to the
resident.
• Occasionally, stand in for other staff members in times of absence or increased workload.
• Perform any other duty as assigned by the supervisor.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum primary level and having completed VTC (Vocational training certificate
• equivalent to CFJ)
• At least 3 years work experience in cooking and cleaning including cooking for a bigger numbers and variety of food
• High value for daily hygiene and sanitation.
• Professional catering experience desirable.
• Relevant personal skills, including efficiency, organizational abilities, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness and ability to be trained in preparing a variety of new dishes.
• Friendly and professional demeanor in dealing with all residents of the village,especially youth ASYV Fit
