II. Organizational Context and Scope |
Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental, and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants. Context: Under the overall supervision of the Head of Programmes, under the direct supervision of IOM National program officer (LMI), the consultant will work in collaboration with key relevant institutions members of the Migration Data Technical working group [the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR), the Directorate General of Immigration & Emigration (DGIE), the Rwanda development Board (RDB), the Ministry of Public Service and Labour (MIFOTRA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation (MINAFFET)], to conduct a migration data capacity assessment to identify practices, gaps, and priority areas of intervention, and implement a capacity building program on migration data management. |
III. Responsibilities and Accountabilities |

The selected consultant will be in charge of conducting a migration data capacity assessment on migration data and facilitate a capacity building program on migration data management. The consultant will deliver on the following: a. Identify gaps and need in terms of migration data management capacities among relevant institutions. b.
