Cereal Innovation and Technology Transfer Senior Research Technician
Level:3.IV
Job description
• Reporting to the Cereal Program Coordinator Senior Principal Research Fellow, the Cereal Innovation and Technology Transfer Senior Research Technician has the following responsibilities:
• Implement field trials or laboratory protocols to produce reliable and accurate data to support scientific investigations;
• Participating in data collection, analysis, interpretation and timely reporting of research results;
• Assisting researchers in their regular activities in scientific research;
• Liaising with extension service providers in conducting on-farm technology verification trials, demonstrations;
• Participate in packaging of innovations for dissemination;
• Training students, interns and new scientists on field plot techniques and practices and/or laboratory practices;
• Prepare a quarterly and annual report on activities conducted;
• Ensure adequate management of resources under his or her responsibilities;
• Perform any other duty assigned by the Cereal Program Coordinator.

• Proven experience to work with farmers in research and extension
• Capacity in project development and resource Mobilization
