We actively support the transition to a vibrant democracy that encourages civic participation, legal reform, and respect for human rights. Our third goal is to promote health with special emphasis on combating HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis. Our historic partnership is alive and thriving today in the U.S. Embassy's engagement in the Republic of Rwanda.
The Embassy of the United States of America in Kigali is recruiting for Carpentry Maintenance worker position. The position is open to All Interested Candidates/All Sources and available to start immediately.
Duties:
Working in the Facility Management section of the Embassy, the Carpentry Maintenance Worker carries out scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance and repair work on finish and interior assemblies, furnishings and fixtures in all U.S. Government buildings and facilities including residential owned and leased properties. Job holder will repair, adjust and install doors, windows, hardware, wall, ceiling and floor coverings, sunshades and blinds; fixed furnishings; painting of various surfaces; and replacement specified glazing products with required installation materials.
