Business Development Officer
Spices Rwanda is a social enterprise which was registered in Rwanda in 2017 and works with more than 11 thousand smallholder farmers in Eastern Province, we are working with individual farmers, cooperatives and SMES in horticulture farming especially chili farming and export. With operation in 7 Districts of Eastern Province and Gasabo District in Kigali City, our company contributes to the welfare of smallholder farmers by training them on good agronomic practices which helps them to produce quality chilies for export. We are hiring an experienced Business Development Officer to help us grow our business.

We are hiring an experienced Business Development Officer to help us grow our business.
Responsibilities
• Active searching for funding opportunities for SME and Agricultural development programs.
• Develop high quality concept notes and proposals.
• Create and maintain good relations with donors and strategic partners
• Manage projects in close cooperation with the leadership
• Ensure accurate reporting.
• Responsible for several operational processes like fleet management and so on.
Tasks
• Compile and write management, monthly and annual business reports
• Write high quality concept notes as well as proposal writing.
• Identify new market opportunities via market research and initiate contact
• Prepare weekly and monthly consolidated detailed action plans Skills
• Master Degree in any business-related area or Bachelor Degree with additional courses
• At least 4 years of experience in successfully applying for funding opportunities and or business development;
• Excellent eye for detail;
• Report writing skills
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite like Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Demonstrated leadership experience at work, or outside of work, enthusiasm for learning, and openness to feedback.
• Ability to build teams and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Good command of English and Kinyarwanda
