JOB DETAILS:
Our client, Sonarwa General Insurance Company Limited (Sonarwa General), is a general insurance service provider situated in Rwanda. The company has embarked on a transformational journey that seeks to grow the business. As a result, Sonarwa General is seeking to recruit highly competent and professional individual to fill the position of Branch Manager.
Reporting to the Regional Branch Manager, the branch manager will be responsible to implement the sales strategy for the assigned branch to ensure the achievement of sales targets. .
Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide leadership in the implementation of the retail strategy at branch level and ensure that all branch operations are in line with Sonarwa’s overall goals and objectives to achieve business profitability;
• Develop a business development strategy for the branch drawn from overall strategy to ensure the branch meets the set targets;
• Monitor the achievement of performance targets for the branch to implement strategies to address gaps;
• Visit existing and targeted customers periodically to ascertain clients’ satisfaction levels and enhance business growth and profitability;
• Comply with and keep abreast of established policies, procedures, and applicable regulations in the branch operations for monitoring of business activities;
• Lead in maintaining and improving customer service by implementing Sonarwa’s customer experience standards to achieve customer satisfaction;
• Communicate management goals and objectives to all staff through departmental meetings and appropriate training to build capacity and equip staff with relevant skills;
• Consistently monitor and provide market intelligence to identify potential for both business acquisition and strategic planning for Sonarwa; and
• Enforce prudent underwriting standards in the branch and facilitate claims documentation process in compliance with the Company’s strategies.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Management, Insurance or any other relevant field.
• Three (3) years’ experience in Insurance Operations
