BPN is a Swiss international Non-profit organization, operating in 5 different countries spread over three continents. It started its activities in Rwanda in 2011. BPN strives to support the development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), in order to create jobs and fight poverty. BPN provides Training and Coaching services as well as Equipment Loans to SMEs so they can grow their businesses sustainably. .

Job Responsibilities
• We are looking to hire a dedicated Communications Officer to join our team. The Communications Officer will support our internal and external communications strategy, write and disseminate publicity materials, represent the company through building a social media presence for the organization by responding to inquiries, comments from the public and media, and coordinate promotional events.
• The position
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our target audience.
• Build brand awareness by engaging relevant influencers.
• Formulate and distribute high-quality written and visual content through publications channels like the website, flyers, newsletters, bulletins, brochures and other marketing material that communicates the organization's activities, products and/or services
• Update the organization’s promotional materials using up-to-date softwares
• Update and respond to media inquiries on the organization’s social media platforms including but not limited to the website, Facebook, twitter among others.
• Managing the organization’s online communities to ensure respectful and appropriate engagement.
• Training Coordinator
• Prepare, market and coordinate existing BPN Trainings according to the yearly calendar and procedures in place.
• Work with Trainers to design and prepare training materials
• Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations or related field
• Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda (excellent writing and oral skills)
• Additional language skills would be a plus.
• Professional Experience skills
• Minimum of 2 - 5 years' relevant experience in a communications role
• Experience in graphic design, branding, and Marketing
• Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Experience in Social Media Marketing and branding
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• International exposure: at least 2 years studying or working in a country other than
• Rwanda or 2 years of working with an international organization.
• Usage of modern communication tools.
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
• Ability to use different graphic design tools
• Ability to train staff on the basics of communication
• Ability to interact with clients and partners with a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn
• Good knowledge of Rwanda
• Having a learning attitude, to be the driver of your own development process
• Being self-motivated and pro-active
• Take full responsibility of your actions and their consequences
• Strive to perform and deliver beyond strict job content
