We are seeking a Marketing consulting firm based in Rwanda to work with SAL team in Rwanda to Conduct an awareness campaign on aflatoxins in selected 5 districts in Rwanda.

Aflatoxins are toxic compounds produced by certain molds, which can contaminate food and pose serious health risks to humans and animals.

Consumption of aflatoxins contaminated food can cause stunting in children, reduce their physical and intellectual development and has been linked to liver cancers in adults. Since its discovery in the early 1960’s, the fungi that infect many crops like maize, groundnuts, wheat amongst others with its deadly toxins have not been solved by scientists and more work needs to be done to keep aflatoxin out of the food supply chain.

There is a critical need to raise awareness about the dangers of aflatoxin contamination, methods for prevention, and the importance of safe food handling practices.

This campaign aims to educate the public, farmers, and food industry stakeholders about aflatoxins to reduce their impact on public health and the economy.
