BACKGROUND
The Rwanda Youth in Agribusiness Forum (RYAF) is a platform of young agro entrepreneurs operating in any sub-sectors of agribusiness value chain (crop and/or livestock production, agroÂprocessing, inputs and other agro-services as well as ICT in Agriculture). Officially launched in May 2016 with the aim to rejuvenate the sector here in Rwanda. RYAF strive to change and challenge youth mindset vis-a-vis agribusiness opportunities for food and nutritional security and sustainable job creation. The forum is officially legalized in the official gazette number 50 of 11th December 2017.
RYAF has entered into MoU-based partnership with RDDP under RAB SPIWIFAD Funded Projects under the framework of efficiently engage and involve young graduates in proper management of the MCC owned by dairy cooperatives to create sustainability.
The overall goal of RDDP is to contribute to pro-poor national economic growth and improve the livelihood of resource-poor rural households focusing; on food security, nutrition and empowerment of women and youth in a sustainable and climate-resilient dairy value chain development. Specifically, the project seeks to increase competitiveness and profitability of the dairy sector for the provision of quality products from small-scale producer organizations to domestic and regional consumers, thus improving their livelihoods, food security and nutrition whilst building overall resilience.
The Rwanda Dairy Development Project area comprises 12 districts in the four Provinces of Rwanda: East (Nyagatare, Rwamagana, and Kayonza), North (Gicumbi, Burera, and Musanze), West (Nyabihu, Rubavu and Rutsiro) and South (Nyanza, Huye, and Ruhango).

TERMS OF REFERENCES
Under a MoU with RAB/SPIU-IFAD Funded Projects, the Rwanda Youth in Agribusiness Forum (RYAF) is inviting individual qualified candidates to apply to serve as MCC Associate Managers (working as full-time Junior Consultants, and based in RDDP-supported Milk Collection Centers MCCs). The RYAF under the dose collaboration with RDDP will be responsible for coordinating and supporting all MCC ASSOCIATE MANAGERS, hereby named service providers’ interventions relating to MCC management, milk supply to MCC, milk production, quality of milk increase, transforming an MCC into a business HUB to attract farmers/milk suppliers’ loyalty. In close collaboration with the Management of the MCC and the cooperative in general, the RYAF MCC Associate Manager will be providing marketing support to farmers’ cooperatives and management of contracts. .
Responsibilities of MCC Associates Manager include but are not limited to:
• Undertake the cooperative capacity organization and assessments;
• Draw the responsive mechanisms of the assessed problems;
• Support to implement the resolutions and recommendations drawn by different service providers (Milk hygienic handling by RALIS, extension services by RAB and RCVD, Cooperative management, minutes of general assembly, report taking, audit recommendations by RCA, Farmer capacity on MCC development by HIR);
• Support to replicate the best practices learned from service Providers;
• Support to increase raw milk supplied to MCC;
• Provide the technical assistance during milking, collection and transport of raw milk;
• Establish the contracts and agreements with milk suppliers to MCC and monitor their implementation;
• In collaboration with Business Development Fund (BM.), Rwanda Cooperative Agency and project service providers, she/he will be engaged in strengthening the farmer organizations to a level that they are able to efficiently provide services to farmers in the milk value chain; bulk purchase and delivery of dairy farming inputs; direct (or indirect) provision of extension, Al and animal health services; and linkages to financial services through the “Hub” model already successfully tested in the country. Just to make the MCC a hub;
• In collaboration with the cooperative’s management committee, preparing the annual work plan, budget and reports;
• Undertaking any other assignments or relevant duties in the field of his/her competences as may be assigned by his direct supervisor.
Job Skills:
• Having at least or below 35 years old.
• Computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong verbal and written, listening and communication skills.
• Languages Skills in Kinyarwanda, English or French, knowledge of all is an advantage
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Experience required, but not mandatory
