Job Description
•Define and execute the Deal Acceleration plan for assigned priority sector through investment opportunity mapping, identification of business opportunities in sector and development of sector/sub sector pitch documents;
•Develop and monitor progression of the deal pipeline in the assigned sector;
•Profile and target potential investors, hold initial discussions and maintain close investor follow up;
•Ensure rapid response to investor follow up questions, prepare tailored pitch documents for investors and drives advanced deal discussions;
•Lead negotiations with potential investors
- undertake assessment/quality check of investor proposals and coordinate response to proposal within GoR;
•Keep Accelerator/RDB management up to date and briefed on assigned tasks.
•Direct research and translate to tangible implications;
•Ensure close coordination with the other departments in the CIO office;
•Direct and manage research towards tangible outcomes
- define sector specialist’s weekly work plan and manage the specialist's performance
•Any other duties as required by the hierarchical supervisor

Job Skills
Additional Key competencies required
•Ability to develop and analyze comprehensive business plans & assess investment risks and merits;
•Ability to understand industry and market trends and translate them to business opportunities;
•Ability to build up expertise on a given priority sector and to map out a strategy to boost investments in the sector, and to lead a GoR team that will execute and follow through on that strategy.
•Extensive experience in directing research and analysis;
•Strong ability to develop investor relationships, drive investor deal discussions and manage large investor pipeline;
•Strong networking skills with ability to form relationships quickly and maintain extensive investor networks;
•Excellent presentation and reporting skills including a demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and tactfully to a variety of audiences.
•Demonstrated leadership skill with ability to lead teams & directing analysis/output;
•Pragmatic flexibility with ability to respond quickly to changing environment and find realistic solutions to complex problems;
•Highly organized with ability to multitask and work well in a fast
- paced environment;
•Strong command of written and spoken English;
•Proficiency in French and Kinyarwanda is an added advantage;

Job Qualifications:
Job Profile
•Bachelors Degree in any of these fields: Business, Management, Economics, Finance, Development Studies, Public Policy, or STEM with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience or;
•A Masters Degree in any of these fields: Business, Management, Economics, Finance, Development Studies, Public Policy, or STEM with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience;
•Relevant professional experience will be that which demonstrates a proven record of advanced research/analytical work for complex interdisciplinary projects involving multiple stakeholders. It must also demonstrate a capacity to perform advanced quantitative, business, market or financial analysis. As well as demonstrate a strong grasp of business and investment concepts.
