Terms of Reference for “Production of Educational videos for BRITE Project
1. Background
Building Resilience of TVET through E-learning (BRITE) is a 2-year project funded by The Mastercard Foundation implemented by EDC and AKA which aims at building resiliency both in the RP system and within students and trainers themselves by developing e-learning materials and approaches to help RP be better prepared in case of more impediments to face-to-face instruction and to strengthen current training practices through complementary digital learning that will enhance the quality and impact of face-to-face trainings.
2. Purpose of the assignment
The purpose of this assignment is to develop 26 educational videos demonstrating the “hands on work” that will be part of BRITE E-learning materials developed for RP and RTB students in different specific trades.
3.Objectives
The overall objective of this assignment is to produce media materials including short videos of great sounds and High-Resolution images from High Definition (HD) shoot that will be used in E-learning education for RP and RTB using various relevant innovative software and technology devices.

4. Scope of Work
Consultant selected for this assignment will perform the following indicative tasks for a period not exceeding three months.
• Present a work plan for the assigned work specifying travelling days;
• Production of video (videography, editing, audio balancing, sub-titling, format exporting with desirable standards
• An approximately, 5-minute video that gives a live demonstration of videos demonstrating the “hands-on work for given materials;
• Narration and subtitles in English;
• All videos produced must be of the highest quality to adequately represent the organization
With a minimum HD-1080p resolution aimed to be share to RP and RTB audience;
• Review the Scripts presented by Trainers or Instructors;
• Edit the footage in line with the script agreed and approved service provider
• Record and edit narration / voice over where needed in according with guidance from service provider
• Embed sub-titles in the video as per need;
• Propose the shoot production schedule;
• Use HD quality video camera and professional editing software;
• Present the draft produced videos to AKA
• Finalize videos with feedback from and partners
• Audio balance the final product and convert it in formats for use on different dissemination channels including Learning Management System platforms, YouTube channel;
5. Timing and location
The assignment will start from the date agreed upon signature of contract.
Location: The consultant will have to travel to different locations in Rwanda, where the focal area is located.
6. Deliverables
6. Production of 26 videos with durations ranging from 5 to 7min. The production will involve, but will not be limited to:
• Coaching of the actor who will demonstrate in the video in support with BRITE staff.
• Draft videos in MP4 format submitted to entaganzwa@akazikanoze.org
• Internet links to Videos to be uploaded on RTB and RP channels.
• Presentation to AKA and partners of draft videos for feedback;
• Submission (Delivery) of the final videos in different formats (for YouTube channels, online) considering feedback from service providers.
7. Reporting
The Production company will report to Technical team leader
8. Minimum requirements to perform this assignment
• Outstanding videography skills
• Excellent photo and video editing skills.
• Past experience: Previous experience of developing Instructional videos/Topic Development Team (Instructional Designers, Animators, Videographers, Video Editor)
• Previous experience of working in Rwanda;
• Previous experience of working in Rwanda’s education system – Either TVET, General Education, or Tertiary
• Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to adhere to deadlines and flexibility;
• Availability to start and travel immediately to different site of filming, upon signature of contract.

• 3 Reference letters from 3 reputable organizations for reference.
