TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR REVISING WfW- RWANDA‘S CHART OF ACCOUNTS AND CLASSIFICATIONS OF ITS EXPENSES
Women for Women Rwanda (WfW-Rwanda) is a national organization created and legally registered in 2020. The organization recently transitioned from Women for Women International which has been operating in Rwanda since 1997. WfW-Rwanda builds alliances with communities and institutions to help design and deliver on innovative programs that address inevitable challenges faced by women within our communities.

WfW- Rwanda would like to revise its chart of accounts and classification of its expenses in order to support the organization meet the need of the management reporting to allow compliance with reporting by expenses categories as it is the requirement of its stakeholders. As a result, WfW- Rwanda is looking for strong individuals or firms with significant experience in Accounting and Auditing of non-for-profit organization, as well as the usage of the QuickBooks software.
The main objective is to revise the accounting records of 2022 to 30th August 2023 to ensure all the expenses are classified under the right class/ category.
The period that requires revision is from 1 January 2022 to 30th August 2023.
Note: Certificate of completion must those executed in accounting engagement not audit
The Duration of the assignment is 30 calendar days.
The selected consultant shall have the responsibility of breaking down the calendar days among the required personnel for this assignment, specified in terms of number of persons, days, for a Lead consultant and the team of consultants.
A Lead Consultant should be a highly qualified expert with professional qualifications.
He/she should be a member of ICPAR. He/she should have master’s degree in accounting and finance and professional Accountant (CA, ACCA, CPA, etc.) with a minimum of 8 years post qualification experience of which at least 5 years of professional experience as a Practicing Auditor or accountant in the consultancy firm and experience in accounting for non-governmental organizations which they use using QuickBooks online.
A Lead Consultant is responsible for the assignment and its performance, and for the final report that is issued on behalf of the firm.
The Consultant will report to women for Women Rwanda Finance and administration & HR Manager.
