Rwanda Farmers Coffee Company Ltd (RFCC) is a new, large-scale coffee roasting and packaging facility producing excellent roasted coffee from the highest quality green beans from Rwanda coffee farmers. We of providing world-class, sublimely rich coffee with the ultimate impact on Rwandan coffee Farmers where all our profits are reinvested in them... through our “Beyond Fair trade” social business model
With its state-of-the-art roasting machinery can produce 3 tons of roasted coffee per day. The company is roasting, grinding and packing 100% Arabica. Ability to produce high volumes of consistent quality roast profiles makes RFCC an ideal supplier of freshly roasted, high-end quality coffee to hotels, airlines, large to small coffee houses, Coffee importers, wholesalers, Online to Offline retailers/Supermarkets, F&B distributors and agents on local, regional and International Market.
Rwanda Farmers Coffee Company Ltd sets a target of increasing its annual revenue by 20% compared to the previous year achievement, to achieve this target the company wants to recruit a dedicated Sales & Marketing manager to fulfill the following tasks as described below:
Main Purpose of the Job
The sales and marketing manager is responsible for managing all sales and marketing activities for the company.
Position in the organization
Close collaboration with production team, He/she reports to the Managing Director with close liaison and instruction to be provided by the Chairman of Board of Directors.
Duties of the Sales and Marketing Manager
- Accomplishes business development activities by researching and developing marketing opportunities,
- Create and implement Marketing and PR Plans and strategies; implementing sales plans; creating annual budgets and developing performance plans.
- Overseeing all marketing activity and ensuring it fits with the marketing strategy.
- Identify Local and International marketing opportunities by understanding the consumers’ requirements; market trend, negotiating sales contracts; forecasting projected business.
- Meets marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements
- Day to day management of the sales team ensuring they are on track for achieving KPI’s and performances.
- Setting sales and marketing KPI’s to manage activity within the team.
- Working with sales executives, production team, and management on approaches to building business.
- Manage the receipt, handling, and escalation of all sales inquiries
- Administer the preparation of quotes
- Produce appropriate marketing and PR collateral as required
- Ensuring the sales team update the CRM effectively with all appropriate data.
- Manage International Marketing communication via emails or CRM.
- Managing the company’s social media accounts and posting relevant content.
- Arranging for the company to attend relevant industry events and conferences.
- Attending meetings with customers alongside sales consultants.
- Making sure the company is Search Engine Optimized to maximize inbound sales opportunities with solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture and Web Trends), setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns.
- Carry out administrative inductions with new members of staff to the team and training the sales team on sales techniques and giving advice.
- Attend training courses, exhibitions & shows as and when required
- Carry out any other duties as may be required by the company from time to time
- Participate in the continual improvement of the company’s working operations, Quality and Environmental systems
Background of the Sales and Marketing Manager
- Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate
- All round sales and marketing experience. Working with Distributors, Retailing groceries, foods Service and hotels is a plus
- Excellent motivational and leadership skills to inspire performance.
- Relevant retailing coffee industry experience.
- Highly motivated with a genuine drive to succeed with sales.
- Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets
- Good taste, a sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and communication
- Demonstrable experience in marketing together with the potential and attitude required to learn
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
Qualifications and experience
- University Degree in relevant subject
- Experience of coffee value chain value chain from farm level to retailing services
- Sales experience, ideally in commodities and/or logistics related function toward export
- Minimum of 5 to 8 year’s relevant experience in commercial and export operation.
- Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact with all levels.
- Â Good MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel and power point.
- Able to work independently and highly meticulous.
- Working experience in CRM software is highly regarded.
Skills and abilities
- Highly proven communication (written and oral) skills
- Good Presentation (Pitch deck) and IT skills
- Language skill: Kinyarwanda, English, and French is a must
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Package
Hours of work: this is a Full-Time employment (8 hours a day)
Location: Kigali
Salary: Depending on experience
Contract conditions: permanent upon completion of 3 months’ probation period
