About the Opportunity
This is a new position for Inkomoko to support refugee-led organizations (RLOs) in strengthening their organizations and accessing resources to implement, sustain and scale-up their work. As a member of the Business Growth Services team, this position will:

Responsibilities
This is a new position for Inkomoko to support refugee-led organizations (RLOs) in strengthening their organizations and accessing resources to implement, sustain and scale-up their work. As a member of the Business Growth Services team, this position will:
• Identify, engage, support and build the capacity of regional RLOs to sustain and scale their impact. Share our proven support models and proximate knowledge to help RLOs overcome the geographical and context-specific barriers to accessing funding and growing impact.
• Play a leading role in program designing and planning including identifying relevant activities factoring in feedback from the related refugee communities and corresponding budget allocations.
• Link and mentor RLOs to access additional opportunities to connect each RLO with relevant local networks, funding and advocacy initiatives in order to better sustain their work, foster mutual learning and grow their influence.
• Facilitate greater involvement of RLOs and their leaders in strategizing and decision-making processes that impact their communities, including those owned or facilitated by others, e.g. private sector initiatives, NGOs, public sector and funders.

Minimum Qualifications
For this role, the successful candidate will have these qualities;
• Strong understanding of the challenges faced by refugees and other marginalized communities in East Africa paired with fieldwork experience in challenging contexts
• A good understanding of the meaning of localization in development and successful implementation of community-based development models
• Experience working with a diverse team of people from different backgrounds
• Good all-around communicator – approachable, warm, honest, transparent, and able to manage up with confidence
• Shows perseverance, personal integrity, is objective, with critical thinking
• Experience handling confidential information with discretion and sensitivity, extreme trustworthiness
• Forward-looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions

Other requirements
• Experience in program development, training or facilitation for a diversity of learners
• 7+ years of relevant working experience
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships, influence outcomes, and gain respect as a trusted advisor
• Demonstrable commitment to justice, diversity, equity and inclusion
• Willing to travel frequently
