DUHAMIC -ADRI is a Kinyarwanda acronym that stands for Duharanira Amajyambere y’Icyaro.

Translating to ‘’ we strive for the development of the rural community ‘’in English. It is a non-profit organization located in Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda, within the kicukiro district, Niboye sector.it was established in 1979 by a group of Rwandans who identified the crucial need for rural development in the country.

DUHAMIC-ADRI is a Non-Governmental Organization legally granted by Rwandan law and legally recognized by the Ministerial Order No. 943 of July 12, 1985. Its statutes were amended and accepted by the Ministerial OrderNo.025/11of21th March 2005. With the vision to have « A rural world responsible for its self-socio-economic development », DUHAMIC-ADRI has a mission of « Supporting integrated development through the initiatives of the rural population in their struggle for self-development». DUHAMIC-ADRI’s interventions reaches 27 districts of Rwanda as follow: Kicukiro, Nyarugenge, Burera, Gakenke, Gicumbi, Musanze, Rulindo in Northern Province; Gisagara; Huye; Kamonyi; Muhanga; Nyamagabe; Nyanza; Nyaruguru and Ruhango in South Province; Nyabihu; Nyamasheke; Rubavu; Rusizi and Rutsiro of Western Province and then Gatsibo; Kayonza; Kirehe; Ngoma; Nyagatare and Rwamagana of Eeastern Province.

Objectives

The primary objective of this initiative is to contribute to environmental conservation, biodiversity enhancement, and sustainable development through the establishment of tree nurseries. Specific objectives include:

• Installation of nursery beds with covered of shed net,
• Propagation of desired tree species for reforestation and afforestation efforts,
• Propagation of desired tree species for fruits and agroforestry trees,
• Provision of a sustainable source of seedlings for plantation activities,
• Capacity building and engagement of local communities in tree nursery preparation and management.

The scope of work includes supply and deliver the following items:

Eligibility criteria

Eligible bidders should fulfil the following requirements:

• Copy of trading certificate
• A valid Tax clearance certificate
• Proof of having electronic billing machine (EBM)
• A commitment letter to supply all the items in a period not exceeding 3 working days from the date of receiving the purchase order
• 3 certificates of good completion for supplying similar activities
• Quotations including all transport and applicable taxes

Distribution of these materials will be done at different sites identified for nurseries installation in Sectors of Ndora, Kibirizi, Muganza of Gisagara District

Bidders are allowed to apply for more than one lot

Bids will be submitted in a sealed envelope and addressed to the Executive Secretary of DUHAMIC-ADRI at Kicukiro head office no later than Monday, May 27, 2024 at 02:00PM

The public opening of bids is scheduled on the same date at 02:30PM at DUHAMIC-ADRI headquarters
