Lab Technician in School of Agriculture and Food Sciences- CAVM
Level:5.II
Job description
1. Technical Supporting
• To conduct laboratory tests and analysis
• To prepare practical work for students
• To curry out risk assessment for lab activities
• To collect and analyze samples
• To record and present data
• To control lab stock
• To safely keep chemicals and waste products

2. Lab maintenance
•  To ensure maintenance and cleaning of laboratory materials.

• BSc in Food Science/ Food Technology/Food Biotechnology/analytical chemistry or related discipline
• Minimum 2 year of working experience in food technology/biotechnology/analytical chemistry lab.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the work practices processes and procedures relevant to the Laboratory activity including use of modern food analysis equipment (like HPLC, GC, AAS, PCR, etc.).
• Excellent interpersonal, networking and communication skills
• Flexible and adaptive with a positive approach to change.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science and Technology
2 Years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's of Science in Food Biotehcnology
2 Years of relevant experience
