Job summary: Description of the purpose of the job
The Head of Transactions will be responsible for developing, directing and managing the strategic
legal activities and provide leadership to financial and technical transactions areas of the Company
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development of policies and procedures relating to energy transactions.
• Develop the strategies to execute contracts and evaluate disputes arising there from as well
as advise the management if need be.
• Oversee the responsible unit in the respective subsidiary in relation to prefeasibility and
feasibility studies as well procurement process towards having energy project implementor.
• Ensure subsidiaries Obtain required approvals and recommendations on the energy Project.
• Lead in the drafting and negotiation of contracts in coordination with concerned Subsidiaries to
ensure signed agreements (EPCs, PPAs, etc.) respond to Group strategic needs.
• Analyse the existing EPCs, PPA and other related agreements as well as monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports that shall be submitted by subsidiaries to ensure performance and mitigation of risk.
• Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the project to ensure the received reports reflect what is on the ground.
• Participate in renegotiation process.
• Advise the management st interest in relation to transactions if need be.
• Provide technical analysis and develop recommendations with respect to legal aspects of investment proposals.
• Work closely with stakeholders by building on and develop internal and external networks
through personal contacts.
• Develop, implement, and maintain processes and controls that are current best practices
related to transaction processing.
• Provide leadership to financial and technical transactions Personnel in the Unit.
• To ensure useful financial and technical insights are provided to help make better decisions
in relation to energy transactions.
• Develop and Maintain records of all transactions including negotiations and MoU.
Educational Requirements:
At least 4 years of relevant working experience one of which should be at managerial level
OR
At least 6 years working experience, one of which should be at managerial level
