JOB DETAILS:

The product range includes life, health and general insurance, pensions, unit trusts, investment planning, wealth management, off-shore investments, retirement planning, discretionary portfolio management, property development, and private equity. We wish to fill the above position in our Rwanda Subsidiary – Britam Insurance Company (Rwanda) Ltd. Only Rwandese candidates are eligible. Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. .
Job Responsibilities:
• Assess risks and make acceptable decisions after proper analysis of clients data;
• Assist in ensuring that systems and procedures covering underwriting operations are adhered to;
• Ensure a high standard of customer service;
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of underwriting documents;
• Ensure that files are well documented and all communications and transactions are recorded;
• Ensure proper declarations of motor certificates and required stationeries to ensure proper re-order levels;
• Capturing of new sales data within stipulated times;
• Ensure safekeeping and proper accounting of all company security documents i.e. motor certificates, cover notes, yellow cards;
• Receive all claims arising out of the branch and send them to the claims department for processing;
• Ensure proper and accurate premium processing;
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and policies on credit, receipting, banking and record keeping.

Knowledge, experience, and qualifications required
• Bachelor’s degree (insurance option preferred)
• At least, one year experience in the insurance industry
• Professional qualification in Insurance (ACII) will be an added advantage.
Working Relationships
Internal Relationships:
• Accountable to Assistant underwriting Manager and branch manager on administrative roles;
• Required to liaise and work closely with the other departments as may be necessary.
External Relationships:
• Britam customers
