Call for Tender: Supply of Thirty-Two (32) 5000-Liter Water Tanks in Ngororero District

Background

The Rwanda Climate Change and Development Network (RCCDN), with funding from a consortium comprising Trōcaire, the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund (SCIAF), and Christian Blind Mission (CBM) UK, is implementing the Climate Just Communities (CJC) Program in Ngororero District. The program aims to promote sustainable development and climate justice by empowering vulnerable communities and enhancing their access to resources that foster environmental sustainability and resilience to climate change.

In support of the program’s objectives, RCCDN is seeking a supplier to supply thirty-two (32) 5000-liter water tanks, meeting the specifications outlined below:

Specifications

  • Outer Layer:Black, containing 2.5% carbon black (+/- 0.5%) by mass, melt compounded into the polyethylene through an extrusion process for uniform dispersion and optimal UV protection. The black polyethylene pellets are rust-free, maintenance-free, and contain over 2% carbon black to ensure an extended lifespan.
  • Inner Layer:White or blue, containing less than 0.4% by mass of inorganic metal elements (in pigment), melt compounded into the polyethylene through an extrusion process, ensuring uniform dispersion.
  • Manufacturing Process:The tanks should be manufactured using the latest advanced technology, specifically sophisticated new Rotomoulding machines.
  • Material:Food-grade polyethylene raw material, approved by the Food and Drugs Administration.

Delivery Locations

Suppliers must provide the cost of transportation for the water tanks to the following locations within Ngororero District:

  • Kageyo Sector:Nyamata, Mukore, and Kageshi Cells
  • Kavumu Sector:Nyamugeyo and Birembo Cells
  • Muhanda Sector:Mashya and Bugarura Cells

Pricing

All prices must be inclusive of taxes.

Submission Guidelines

Interested suppliers are requested to submit their bids in hard copies to the RCCDN office located at Muyange, Kagarama, Kicukiro, by August 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM, Kigali time.
