About the Role
The role of the Strategic Advisor is to serve as a point person for the Executive Director, liaising with the Village Staff by:
• Manage external communication with the board, partners, and high-level public officials
• Act as the primary liaison person to staff, partners, board, and other organs on behalf of the Executive Director
• Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing information about the different programs
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow up on issues promptly
• Prepare and coordinate Program Committee Calls and follow up on actionable items
• Determine key performance indicators and how to measure team performance
• Establish appropriate communication flow through the management and staff
• Aid in and ultimately ensure the timely completion of creative projects
• Organize and schedule top management meetings and coordinate special donor tours and events for the Executive Director
• Maintain Executive Director’s appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, and travel
• Conduct background research and provide pertinent materials to prepare Executive Director for upcoming meetings and conferences
• In the absence of the Executive Director, support the acting person and ensure that all requests for action and information are responded to in a timely and appropriate manner
• Monitor, respond to, and distribute incoming and outgoing electronic and hard copy communications on behalf of the Executive Director
• Anticipate upcoming administrative support needs with a view to enhancing time management and minimizing rushed preparations
• Establish appropriate communication flow through the management and staff
• Assist in a wide variety of projects as assigned, and other reasonably related duties
• Keeping executives organized with logistics, meetings, and emails throughout the day

Minimum Qualification Standards
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of two years of work experience in project management
• Strong planning, time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
• Ability to proactively find solutions and innovative ideas to better the programs
• Experience turning content into well-designed presentations
• Strong communication, writing, and research skills
• Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive organization and personnel information
• Ability to multitask and work with staff members on different names
• Adaptable to changing environments and willing to learn as opportunities arise
• Capable of working under minimum supervision and driving change and innovation
• Experience with budget management
• Consulting experience with a focus on operations management is a plus
• Proven success in a project coordination role with proficiency in project management tools
